Genoa CFC have continued to reinforce ahead of their UEFA Europa League participation by signing Moroccan international Houssine Kharja from Serie A rivals AC Siena for an undisclosed fee. A statement on the club's website said: "Houssine Kharja is a Genoa player. He will sign a contract after undergoing a medical when he returns from his holidays." Born in France, the 26-year-old Kharja moved to Italy when he signed for Ternana Calcio in 2001. Following a brief spell at AS Roma in 2005, he joined Siena in January 2008 and scored eight goals in 51 Serie A games with the Tuscan outfit.
