with Togo in the third day of the combined
elimination round for the African Cup of Nations
(CAN) and the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
The overall performance of the Atlas Lions was
poor, missing a penalty in the first half.
Morocco had lost at home in the first round to
Gabon and tied 0-0 with Cameroon in the second
day, thus seems to have lost hope to be in South
Africa.

their interest in Hibs midfielder Merouane
Zemmama.
The little Moroccan, who was loaned out to Al

believed to have caught the eye of an Anderlecht

However a statement posted on Anderlecht's
official club website, while confirming their
initial interest in Zemmama, also ruled out any
move for the player as he was 'too

Stung by their surprise defeat by Gabon in their

on 7 June and then host Togo in Rabat on June 20.

a double jaw fracture he sustained on Sunday.
The Anderlecht midfielder was carried to hospital

Liege's goalkeeper in the 1-0 loss, which cost
his team the Belgian League title on the last day
of the season.
According to his entourage, the 24-year-old player
could not be on the pitch again for at least one
month.

Boussoufa has accused Belgian police of racially
mistreating him during an identity control.
Boussoufa was at a cafe near Brussel's Gare du

his passport by police on Sunday.

handcuffed and pinned to the floor before being
led off to a nearby police station, according to
witness accounts reported by local media.

AZ Alkmaar were crowned champions for the first
